Terms and Conditions

In order to use the services provided by Domino Careers, you must agree to the following terms and conditions.

Payment

  • Payment of 100% of the fee should be made in advance of the work being done.
  • Payment is normally by PayPal account, but if you do not wish to pay by that means, please contact us for details of how to pay by cheque.
  • Please note that in the event of payment by cheque, notification of clearance through our bank will normally be required before the work can be done.

Confidentiality and data protection

  • Any information that you supply will remain confidential to Domino Careers staff and any associate careers advisers working on your case.
  • Careers advisers may consult with colleagues and share ideas in order to give you the best possible service.
  • We may also refer to our clients’ cases for training purposes.
  • We will retain your questions / CVs and our responses for twelve months and then they will be destroyed.
  • We will not pass your details on to any other organisation unless we believe that harm* to the client or others has occurred or may do so in the future (* harm refers to both physical and emotional damage to a person or person and in accordance with relevant legislation, including the Child Protection Act).
  • Any information that we request about you is solely for administrative purposes or to enable us to give you the best possible careers guidance (eg nationality and date of birth).

Appointments for telephone discussion and telephone interview preparation

  • Once an appointment date and time has been agreed, the following conditions apply.
  • Cancellation:
    • If you cancel the appointment without reasonable cause, no refund will be payable.
    • If you cancel the appointment with reasonable cause, you will receive a refund based on the following scale:
      • 72 hours notice: 100% refund of fees
      • 48-72 hours notice: 50% refund of fees
      • Less than 48 hours notice: no refund of fees
    • Please contact us to explain the situation.
  • Lateness:
    • You should be available at the time agreed for your appointment.
    • If you know that you will be late, please contact us and we may be able to reschedule the appointment, but if we are unable to do that or use any remaining time, we will be unable to refund your fees.
  • If Domino Careers is forced to cancel an appointment within 48 hours, you will be entitled to 100% refund of your fee if you do not wish to rearrange the appointment.

Complaints

  • In the unlikely event that you are not satisfied with the service that you receive from Domino Careers, please contact us as soon as possible.

Domino Careers liability

  • Domino Careers shall not be held liable for any failure by you to obtain any position, occupation, promotion or other career objective.
  • The maximum liability of Domino Careers shall be no greater than the amount that you have paid to Domino Careers.
  • Domino Careers shall not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss.
  • Domino Careers shall not be liable for any warranty or representation not expressly provided in this agreement.

Jurisdiction

  • In the event of any dispute, the dispute shall be resolved under English law.
  • In the event that you are resident outside the United Kingdom, the address for service in England shall be the electronic mail address supplied on the registration form.
